Eco-sovereignty.
Sustainability at Vital Yard is not policy — it is ceremony. Every package, every cycle, every drop of water is treated as covenant with the earth.

Covenant with the earth.
All meals and market produce are presented in kraft, cane, and compostable materials. Packaging is chosen not for convenience, but for covenant — ensuring that what returns to the soil nourishes, not pollutes.
Food scraps, herb stems, and biodegradable packaging are returned to the earth through composting. Recycling systems ensure that nothing taken from the land is wasted. The Yard itself becomes a living cycle of renewal.
Hawahkan’s 700-gallon pond feeds a gravity-driven sand and stone filter before reaching the pump. This system honors water as sacred, ensuring purity without waste, and embodying sovereign resilience.
The Seed Bank Registry safeguards ancestral crops — cassava, breadfruit, sorrel, moringa — updated quarterly as a public covenant. Living fences of moringa and gliricidia protect the grounds, embodying ecological design and sovereignty.
Sustainability is shared. Every guest, every operator, every student becomes part of the covenant — carrying eco-packaged meals, participating in compost cycles, and affirming the Nation’s ecological identity.
Heritage preserved.
Rooted in the Earth. Guided by Spirit. Made for Life.
